Course Overview
LiDAR imaging is a cutting-edge technology capable of capturing unique data sets that were previously difficult or impossible to acquire. Drones provide a platform for deploying these technologies in a safe, accessible, and cost-effective manner. For example – Security – Perimeter monitoring, detecting intruders, identifying suspicious activities. The demand for skilled professionals equipped with knowledge and expertise in drone-based LiDAR imaging is rapidly increasing. This presents a significant career opportunity for individuals seeking to specialize in this area.
Learning Outcome
Learners will have practical experience with drone operations and LiDAR imaging to ensure that they can apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios as well as be trained on the latest software used for data analysis and interpretation in LiDAR imaging. Learners will be taught the legal and safety regulations related to drone operations to ensure compliance and safe practices. They will also learn risk assessment and management techniques to handle potential hazards during drone operations. Learners will be able to analyse and interpret data collected from LiDAR imaging to make informed decisions as well as develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges encountered in the field.
