Q. How are A.D.A.M courses conducted?

Most of our courses are held in person (classroom setting) on weekends. Unless otherwise stated, the class will be conducted by 1 trainer. Learning resources vary from course to course, and learners may refer to their pre-course email for course-specific instructions and guides.

Q. Can I sign up for a course that I have no knowledge or experience in the subject matter (e.g., no prior communications design knowledge?

Many of our short courses are suitable for individuals with no prior knowledge of the subject. There may be courses with prerequisites and learners are encouraged to check on any such criteria from the publicity material or individual course information on the A.D.A.M. website. 

Q. Do I need to bring any material for the course?

For most classes, learning materials are provided. Some courses may have additional requirements and this will be communicated to learners before the start of the course. Learners may at their own discretion, bring along stationeries (eg. pen and notepad) and/or laptops to augment their learning.

Q. Can I record the class?

Video and audio recordings of the class sessions by learners are not allowed.

Q. For the course I attended, we were involved in content creation. Who owns the copyrights?

For content created during the course of the lesson, the learners will co-own the copyrights with A.D.A.M. Trainers or the course admin team will also inform learners about this before the start of the lessons and learners will be required to acknowledge this by signing on the indemnity form.

Q. How can learners continue to benefit once they complete a A.D.A.M course?

Upon course completion, learners become part of our alumni. They will be presented with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by A.D.A.M. Alumni are also invited to become part of the A.D.A.M learning community. This is a platform where members can leverage for continued learning, opportunities and connections with learners, alumni, instructors and experts through networking opportunities, events and more.  Details are shared during and at the end of the courses.

Q. Does A.D.A.M guarantee a job placement after the course?

A.D.A.M does not provide any post-course hiring support or guarantee any job placement after completing the short courses.

Government Subsidies

Q. Is there funding support available?

Yes, there is up to 70% course fee funding (as of 1 Jan 2022) from SkillsFuture Singapore for our WSQ accredited programmes.

These training programmes that are SSG-funded certifiable courses, eligible Singaporeans & PRs may receive funding support under the Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme, subject to all eligibility criteria being met.

Q. Can I use SkillsFuture Credits to offset the remaining course fee after funding?

Yes. For self-sponsored Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above, you can use your SkillsFuture Credits to offset the remaining course fee after funding.

Q. What are SkillsFuture Credits?

SkillsFuture Credit is course funding from the government available to Singaporean citizens 25 years old and above. With effect from January 1, 2016, Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of $500 dollars (no expiry) to use for work-related courses. 

On 18 February 2020, the Government announced a one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 for all Singaporeans aged 25 and above in 2020. The top-up will be effective from 1 October 2020.

Q. Who is eligible for funding support?

For Self-Sponsored:

All Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) that are physically based in Singapore and successfully complete the course (including passing the assessment), are eligible for up to 70% SSG funding support.

For Company-Sponsored:

Company-sponsored participants have to a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) that is physically based in Singapore and successfully complete the course (including passing the assessment).

Q. How do I obtain funding support?

This funding support works on a nett fee model. This means that participants only need to pay the unfunded portion of the course fees. This nett fee can be fully paid with your SkillsFuture Credits.

For Self-Sponsored:

You must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) that is physically based in Singapore. You will only need to pay the course fees minus the funding support. For example, if you are eligible for 70% funding support, you will only be paying S$222 nett, which can be paid with your SkillsFuture Credits.

For Company-Sponsored:

You must be a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) that is physically based in Singapore and working in the respective companies.  Your company will pay the course fees minus the funding support.  

SME company

SME companies are eligible for up to 70% funding support, the company will be paying S$222 nett for company-sponsored participants.

Non-SME company

Non-SME companies are eligible for baseline 50% funding support, the company will be paying S$342 nett for company-sponsored participants.

Eligible companies will further be able to claim the remaining course fees after funding with the Training Allowance Grant (TAG) (S$10/hour of eligible training and assessment hours).

Q. Are these requirements for funding support?

For you to receive funding support, please take note of the following:

Minimum of 75% attendance (this means that you must at least be present no less than 12 hours for the course.)

Q. Are there any pre-requisites for our courses?

Our programmes are suitable for beginners with no pre-requisites.

Q. Is there a certificate granted at the end of the course?

Upon successful completion of our SSG funded-certifiable courses, participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) by A.D.A.M. They can use their course certificate to demonstrate skills to employers and their LinkedIn network.

Our programmes are well-regarded by top companies, who contribute to our curriculum and use our courses to train their own teams.

Course Registration

Q. How do I sign up for a course?

Registration can be done through A.D.A.M website: “Register Now” at respective course information page (You will be redirected to our booking platform)

Learners are encouraged to visit the A.D.A.M website to sign up for the course they are interested in. By clicking “Register Now” inside each course information page, learners will be redirected to our booking platform where they can complete the registration. Alternatively, learners can call our hotline +65 8612 2301 to speak to our course admin team to initiate the registration.

The application process is as follows:

  1. Learners registers by website link or hotline
  2. Our course admin team will reach out to you for administrative matters within 24 hours.
  3. Learners arrange to pay the remaining course fees before the first lesson. If you are using SkillsFuture credits to offset the nett fees after funding
Q. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer and PayNow. Our customer service representative will reach out to you to assist you with payment matters after registration.

For paying with SkillsFuture Credits: If you are using SkillsFuture Credits to pay for your nett fee after SkillsFuture Funding, our customer service representative will assist you with the claim application after you have registered.

Q. What is A.D.A.M's Refund Policy?

The course fees paid are strictly non-refundable.

Q. What is A.D.A.M's Withdrawal Policy?

If you drop out of a course halfway / fail to meet the minimum attendance requirements / fail to submit and pass the assessment, SkillsFuture Singapore will not subsidise your course fees and you will be liable for the full course fee amount.
